The Prestigious Mahatma Award

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
- Mahatma Gandhi
I have founded many initiatives to make a social impact for larger good but laying the foundation of 'Mahatma Awards' is a great achievement for me. I am a true Gandhian and believe in Gandhism, a body of ideas that describes the inspiration, vision and the life work of Mohandas Karamchnad Gandhi.

The Mahatma Awards exist to put a spotlight on the most remarkable changemakers of our time. The Winners recognized are addressing the incredibly complex and equally severe problems we face today. Their efforts span global poverty and hunger, disease, education, climate change, disaster response and preparedness, and health care accessibility.
Mahatma Awards are my tribute to Gandhi ji.

I believe that everyone benefits from having a strong nonprofit sector. However, very few people have an understanding of the critical nature of NGOs, nonprofit organizations in our communities: not just for the social good aspect of their work, but also for their economic impact. Founded Global Nonprofit conference and exposition 'NGO Expo', an excellent platform for nonprofits to Raise Funds, Network, Source, Supply and Learn and is perfect place to showcase their Social efforts and initiatives to stake holders. It helps organizations spark quality partnerships between the Corporations, Donors & Development Sector to take forward the agenda of social good.

Advocacy for CSR Bill!

Amit Sachdeva is well known for his efforts to push for passing of CSR Bill in India, which was passed by the government of India in 2013 as legislation and came into effect from April 1, 2014.  Amit Sachdeva strongly advocated for mandatory CSR (corporate social responsibility) spending for companies. The bill now requires large companies to spend at least 2 percent of their profits every year on corporate social responsibility (CSR). The bill applies to companies with an average net profit of at least 50 million rupees (approximately $816,000 USD) over a period of three years.

The total corporate social responsibility (CSR) spending by the top 500 companies in the country since the applicability of mandatory CSR in 2014 is crossed Rs 50,000 crore by March 2019 with major impact on ground in education, healthcare and rural sector uplifting the lives of millions of people across spectrum.
